| MAY 4, 2015 -- We received a heartfelt, two page letter of thanks from a family that we continue to assist. Made us all grateful for what we have and take for granted! Our May Roast Beef Supper will benefit TALVHI (The American Legion Veterans Housing Inc.)-home for “homeless veterans in Jewett City, CT. We voted to switch this annual event from November to May. May 30 & 31, we will again serve all food at the Relay for Life in Plainfield, CT. Thanks to Link Cooper, David Griffiths and Jody Cameron for once again heading up this event! We again sponsored the Earth Day Poster Contest for Sterling Community School 3rd graders. The 2nd graders were thrilled with their individually gifted books from our Grange as part of Dr. Seuss Week. We welcomed back Chaplain, Paulette Craig, who enjoyed a respite in Florida, missing most of the snow of the winter! We had to look twice because Paulette lost over 60 pounds and looks rested and fantastic! Carly Sebastian did a fabulous job as her protem Chaplain, even having to drape the Charter-well done young lady! The grass is starting to green in places at this writing and a robin was seen in our front yard--Happy Spring all!
