Killingly Grange News for March 2015

By Glenna Bruno

  MARCH 1, 2015 --

On Feb. 16th we had Hobbies on Parade, held over from Feb. 2.

Killingly Grange still hosts the farmer’s market and breakfasts.  Results have been good.  Now that we have a regular schedule.  The markets will continue until April – 1st & 3rd Saturday 10-1 P.M.  Vendor Crafts are also invited.

We still have Nick Anderson and Shady Creek Boys & Girls Blue Grass on the 4th Saturday through to April, weather permitting.  Dinner is available by Grange members at 6 P.M.  The public is invited.

Some of our Grangers have been laid up with various degrees of colds.  So hope everyone is recuperating well by now.  “Don’t shovel.”  One of older members, Josie Stenback fell earlier in the fall and has a broken hip.  Hopefully she is doing well and will be back as Flora.  At our upcoming Grange meetings soon (weather permitting) we did cancel our last meeting because the weather was bad with snow.  Do we have snow or what?  After all the last few winters with little or no snow, guess its our turn to have a good load of white stuff sent down to slow our pace a bit.  Looking ahead- Killingly Grange’s 125th anniversary on April 4. Mark that date!

Mar. 2:  Farmers Frolic – Agriculture

Mar. 16:  To Be Announced

Apr. 4:  Happy 125th Anniversary Killingly Grange #112
