| FEBRUARY 7, 2015 -- Congratulations to Faith Quinlan, the newest member of Winchester Grange. Faith received the Obligation Ceremony at the Jan. 13 meeting and looks forward to receiving the four degrees in April. We also officially welcome Pat Wata who comes to us from the Maine State Grange. She originally belonged to Hope Grange in Torrington, then moved to Maine. So we welcome her back to Connecticut and know she will be a great addition to our Grange.
The dates have been set for the first few of our late winter/early spring activites.
Our Cabin Fever Craft and Bake Sale is scheduled for Saturday, March 28 from 9 to 2 P.M.
The Spring Super Prize Party (Giant Tea Cup Auction) will be held on Friday, April 17 with the doors opening at 6 and drawing to begin at 7. Cards will be sale for the low price of $1 each.
The annual Spring Tag Sale will be held on Saturday, May 23. We can always use donations of items to sell at this event so keep us in mind when you are doing your spring cleaning.
As expected with the winter weather, donations to our clothing bin have declined recently. Please keep in mind that the bin is located at the hall just behind the Post Office and is available to accept donations 24 hours a day. Winchester Grange receives a percentage of each pound of clothing donated. Donate to a worthy cause and support Winchester Grange at the same time!
