Around The Grange
November Musings from Winchester Grange

By Todd A. Gelineau

  NOVEMBER 1, 2014 --

Thank you to Shirley Lemieux and Ramona Fassio for making the 2nd Annual Iceland Affair possible at our hall on Oct. 18.  As this was the third day of State Session, this correspondent and others were unable to be at the Grange Hall that day.  Winchester Grange sold soup and crackers along with beverages for the event.  A record attendance was enjoyed and organizer Gerri Griswold promises to return to Winchester with this event next year.

Our annual Holiday Bazaar and Cookie Walk is sold out!  All tables available for the event are completely sold out with a waiting list.  Join us on Saturday, Nov. 1 when we will have our usual Soup, Sandwiches and the popular cookie walk along with the wide variety of holiday craft vendors.  It’s a fun day to get a head start on Christmas shopping.

Our congratulations go to Peter Keefe for being appointed Pomona Deputy West and Sister Mary Lou Keefe for being re-appointed State Pianist at the recent State Grange Session.  This correspondent also had the honor of being elected State Secretary.  It seems to be a tradition in Winchester Grange to have a State Secretary in residence!

Nov. 1:  Holiday Bazaar and Cookie Walk, 10-2

Nov. 11:  Americana, Ref. Potluck Supper, 6 P.M.

Nov. 25:  Thanksgiving, Ref. Men
