OCTOBER 8, 2014 -- Litchfield Grange is one step closer to being a fully operating Grange in Connecticut again. On Tuesday, September 10, Grange members from around the area and those interested in learning more about the Grange gathered at the hall for an informational meeting. No one was obligated that evening, as we were more concerned with having all of their questions answered and with giving them a better idea of what the Grange is all about.
We thank the many members who came out to fill stations for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. You all did a wonderful job and left a great impression.
While the meeting has not yet happened, as of this writing, a second meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 30, when we plan to get down to more detail and hopefully take the necessary steps toward re-instating the charter and re-opening the Grange. The prospects are very positive! Look for more information on the revitalization of Litchfield Grange at State Session and in the next issue of the Connecticut Granger. |
