Around The Grange
CT / RI Old-Fashioned Grange Picnic to be held July 19th

The Connecticut and Rhode Island State Granges will be co-hosting an Old-Fashioned Grange Picnic to be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014.

The picnic will be held at North Stonington Community Grange and Fairgrounds, 21 Wyassup Rd, North Stonington, Connecticut.

The day will begin at 10:00 AM, with lunch being served during the noon hour. Hot Dogs and Hamburgers will be furnished. Connecticut Grangers to bring sides and salads. Rhode Island Grangers to bring snacks and desserts. Featuring entertainment, old-fashioned picnic games, horseshoes, softball and more!   

Fill your car for a fun day with Grange friends and neighbors from Connecticut and Rhode Island. New Members, Prospective Members and Friends of the Grange are welcome!

Founded in 1867, the National Grange is the oldest US rural community-service, family-oriented organization with a special interest in agriculture.  Over the years, the Grange has evolved to incorporate the interests of rural, suburban and urban communities. The organization has approximately 160,000 members in more than 2,100 local and state chapters nationwide, with nearly 60 Community Grange chapters across Connecticut. There are 21 Community Grange chapters in Rhode Island.
