| JUNE 24, 2014 -- A fun and affordable way for families to enjoy the summer is coming to the Strong Family Farm on West Street in Vernon.
This July and August three popular children's movies - Charlotte's Web, Babeand Chicken Little - will be shown on a large screen under the stars in the West Road/Peterson Road field of the Strong Family Farm.
Admission is free but attendees must sign up in advance as capacity is limited to 150 people. Parking is at Center Road School.. No parking will be allowed along or on the field. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets, and flashlights. Light and healthy snacks and refreshments will be sold to benefit the non-profit educational offerings at the farm. Free popcorn!
The first movie to be shown will be the childhood classic, Charlotte's Web, on Wednesday, July 9. Families will be admitted beginning at 7 pm, with the movie beginning promptly at dusk.
Babe will be shown on July 30th and Chicken Little will be featured on August 20th. Again, admission is free but families MUST pre-register as capacity is limited.
