MAY 12, 2014 -- Like any other Granger, I LOVE good food! This month's recipe was included on page 57 of the “Old Time Favorites” Cookbook published by Enfield Grange No. 151. Unfortunately the 2 eggs were omitted from the recipe when the books were printed. Please correct your cookbook if you have one.
2 Cups Cottage Cheese (small curd)
1 scant Cup of sour milk (add 1 tbsp. vinegar to sour it)
2 Eggs
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 regular pie crust
Preheat oven to 400˚. Line pie pan with crust. Place all ingredients in mixer or blender. Mix thoroughly. Pour into pie pan lined with crust. Place pie on foil-lined cookie sheet and put into oven. Bake one hour, or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool before serving and store in refrigerator. |
