APRIL 1, 2014 -- On April 4 we will be traveling to Oxford Grange for an Exchange Officer’s Night. Oxford Grange will come to Beacon Valley on April 11th and take over for our officers. Joann Muscillo and Joanne Cipriano will provide refreshment for this meeting. Both sound like a fun evening.
The weatherman was not good to us in January and February as we had to postpone our meetings to another night. Both of these nights were frigid but attendance was good. We are hearty souls.
We are still collecting puzzles (any size) for the convalescent home and a home-bound gentleman. We are also collecting greeting cards, buttons and shoe boxes just to name a few. These will be donated to Aces, a facility for handicapped children. For the convalescent home we are collecting ladies hats for their tea parties.
Our contest to see who could collect the most bottle lids ended with Joann Muscillo the winner. These were donated to Aces.
Get well wishes to Connie and Charles Brush. Both were in the hospital at the same time. Charlie was in the Glendale Health Center for awhile but by the time you read this I hope he is home. Also to Linnea and Robert Behlman. Linnea had a short stay in the hospital. |
