Ekonk Community Grange February News Update

By Sue Gray

  FEBRUARY 2, 2014 --

Thanks to Katie Molodich for preparing the Winter Grange Newsletter, which was mailed out to all Ekonk members; great job and color pictures included too!  Katie has offered to prepare these as often as quarterly--it is great when young people dive right into serving!  Congratulations to Sarah Cousens on her engagement to Nate (this young couple works in the kitchen at Grange suppers as well as volunteer at Washington County Fair when Ekonk works with Richmond Grange).  The Sterling Girl Scouts continue using our facilities, but have added yet another night to their busy schedule, making room for their expanding numbers; the Cub Scouts have also used our Grange!  Joe LoPresti will once again return to Ekonk for a Spring Series of Square Dances:  March 15 and April 19 will be the first two!

GRANGERS:  IS THERE REALLY A SANTA CLAUS?  EKONK HAS THE PROOF!  Our Grange received a beautiful Christmas card.  Inside was handwritten the following:  “To the Ekonk Community Grange--with best wishes throughout the coming year.  Thank you for all that you ALL do to make our community-BELIEVE---Passion, Action, Commitment, Support, Options and Opportunity--Clear the Roofs!  SANTA   (Enclosed was a Western Union Money Order for $100.00--signed SANTA).
