Around The Grange
Ekonk Community Junior Grange News for September

By Rebecca Gervais

  SEPTEMBER 11, 2013 --

Phew! Our fair is over, and what fun it was!  The moon bounce was a bouncing success. The kids, and a couple of kids-at-heart, kept it bouncing all day long.  The Civil War Camp was most interesting, they had effective locks back then.  Many of us tried to figure out the lock.  Some were successful on their own.  The Lego station was fun, but, the duct tape table really stole the day!  I think this is one craft that really sticks out!  Dave from Animal Experiences brought his snakes, turtles, chinchilla, rabbit, hedgehog, lizards and frog for us to enjoy and to learn about.  We were also able to pet his alligator!  What fun to see girls smiling with snakes draped around their necks!  --Boys, too.  The chinchilla is the softest and cutest rodent.

We were going to go camping again, unfortunately, we were unable to get together.  So much going on around here on weekends, in the summer. By next month, I should be able to report on our Installation and awards night.  Enjoy the start of school!
