| AUGUST 3, 2013 -- The Ekonk Community Grange presents its 31st annual Community Grange Fair on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Events throughout the day include a bicycle rodeo for children at 9:30 a.m.; "Dave the Animal Man" with special guests at 1 p.m.; an encampment by the Civil War Battery B Militia Unit of the Northwest Topographical Engineers; nail-driving contests and more.
The same day, the grange will host a peach shortcake supper at 5 p.m. The menu will feature roast pork, potatoes, vegetables, rolls and butter, beverages, and fresh peaches over homemade buns and topped with real whipped cream. Meals are $12 for adults; $6 for children age 12 and younger.
