Ruth Peck’s 100th birthday to be celebrated |

JULY/AUGUST 2007 -- Mrs. Ruth R. Peck of Litchfield will celebrate her 100th birthday on July 21, 2007. Ruth is wife of the late Past State Master Donald K. Peck.
She was born to Zelim and Walburga (Ackerman) Richard of Milton. She was the second oldest of ten children, all deceased but one sister Doris E. Richard of Torrington. She has lived in the Milton, Litchfield area all of her life.
Ruth was married to David Gray in 1929 and has a daughter, Barbara Gill of Canton, Ohio. Mr. Gray died in 1970.
In 1974 she was married to Donald K. Peck, who died in 2004. There are three stepsons, Donald (Loraine) Peck of Warren, NJ, Douglas (Cills) Peck of Newberryport, MA, and Alden (Jeanette) Peck of Prospect, CT. There are several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Peck is a lifetime member of the Milton Congregational Church, of which she has been a very active member. Also, she is a member of the Eastern Star, Litchfield Womans’ Club, the Milton Womans’ Club, and recently celebrated 75 years with Litchfield Grange No. 107.
Ruth is presently residing at the Summerville, on Goshen Road, in Torrington.
In celebration, there will be an Open House on Sunday, July 22, from 2 to 5, at the Litchfield Grange Hall.
