On May 14, Virginia Gardner’s 99th birthday, Lois Evankow visited her and took her the 85th year certificate, issued by the National Master for continuous service.  She joined when she was 14- belonged to Middlefield Grange and Central Pomona, then Sea View Pomona and Clinton, Madison, East Haddam and finally Lyme Granges.  She was a Trumpet Girl in the 7th Degree twice- she is sharp as a tack and recognized Lois immediately.  She was also presented with a bouquet of flowers and star-shaped birthday balloon.

On May 18 we held a very successful plant and food sale, netting over $800.  A big thank you to the few folks who came and worked.

Aug. 16-18 brings the Hamburg Fair on our Grange grounds.

Our election resulted in a new Master, Ted Powell for two years.

It’s raining.  With a 12 foot dug well, we welcome the rain.
