| JUNE 2, 2013 -- As I am writing this article we are selling tickets to the Pasta Dinner that we have scheduled for May 18th. So all I can say at this time I sure hope we have good luck and sell plenty of tickets.
We had very good luck with Bake Sale and Boutique Sale on May 4th. It was the most successful sale ever. I want to thank all our members for their great support for that event.
I encourage all Glastonbury members to try to attend the June meeting and take part in selecting who will serve as your officers for 2014. The last card party for the season is June 8th. I hope we can have at least 4 to 5 tables for the final card party for the year. They will start up again in October.
There will be a Degree Day held in East Central Pomona at Good Will Grange Hall on August 17th. It will begin with the 1st Degree at 10:00 a.m. The 1st and 2nd Degrees will be conferred followed by a Pot Luck Lunch. Then the 3rd and 4th Degrees will be conferred.
This would be a great time to contact your friends and neighbors and get a application or two or three filled out and presented to the Grange meeting. Also, those who have been taken into the grange with the Welcoming Ceremony should plan on attending to witness the degrees. It is a wonderful ceremony and will teach those new members what the full meaning of the organization is.
