Simsbury Grange Spring Tag & Bake Sale; Farmers' Market 6/1
  MAY 11, 2013 --

One person's unwanted stuff is another's treasure, and we know everyone likes homemade or locally grown foods. On Saturday, June 1, Simsbury Grange is hosting a Tag Sale, Bake Sale and Indoor Farmers' Market from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Simsbury Grange Hall, located at 236 Farms Village Road in West Simsbury.

The Tag Sale will feature new and gently used items ranging from books to furniture. The Indoor Farmers' Market will feature such items as spring greens, honey, and more. The Bake Sale will be a surprise, and include gluten-free items.

Farmers Market and Tag Sale participants can reserve an indoor table space at just $20 each for 48 sq. ft. (includes a 3 by 8 foot table.) Uncovered outdoor space (130 sq. ft.) is available for $25. Donations to the Tag Sale are welcome. For more information, to donate, and to reserve table space please contact Linda Salamacha 860-866-6997 or via e-mail at info@simsburygrange.org.  Donations must be clean and in working order. No baby cribs please.

Simsbury Grange welcomes donations of clothing and more anytime in the new St. Pauly shed. The shed is always accessible and stocked with receipts. St. Pauly sheds are located in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts. In 2012 St. Pauly Textile Inc. helped keep over 59 million garments out of landfills and sent back over $750,000 to more than 600 non-profit community groups.

The St. Pauly shed at Simsbury Grange is accepting clothing, shoes, belts, purses, blankets, sheets, drapes and stuffed toys put in tied or closed bags. Receive a tax deduction for your donation and help send clothing to people who can use it all over the US and world! Should the need arise, Simsbury Grange can keep donations for the local community.

Simsbury Grange #197 was organized on November 5, 1931. Today, the group plays an important role in the community, and is best known for its Agricultural Fair each summer as well as lectures, programs and more.
