Cheshire Grange Presentation on Shoreline Vegetation Dieback
  FEBRUARY 18, 2013 --

Cheshire Grange will be hosting an informative presentation on Shoreline Vegetation Dieback as part of their Family Activities night on Wednesday, March 6th, 7:30 PM, at the Grange Hall. The public is invited to attend. 

Guest speaker Dr. Wade Elmer, a Plant Pathologist/Biologist with the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station (CAES) will be discussing his research on the management of soilborne disease of vegetable and ornamental plants using cultural methods and biological controls as well as the role of plant pathogen in the loss of salt marsh grass species.

The program for the evening is titled "Beside the Sea", and will include a Tea Cup Auction, and a few surprises including a possible appearance by a few "Bathing Beauties."  Refreshments will be served.

Cheshire Grange Hall is located at 44 Wallingford Rd. (one block east of the Town Hall), Cheshire.

Cheshire Grange was organized in 1885, and is one of nearly 60 Granges across Connecticut. The organization has been active in the Cheshire community for over 125 years through their service projects, agricultural fair, and numerous family-oriented activities and events.
