Bonfire, Potluck at Wolcott Grange

By Waterbury Republican-American (11/24/12)

  NOVEMBER 24, 2012 --

Wolcott Grange No. 173 is holding a bonfire and potluck dinner starting at 6 p.m. Nov. 29 at the group’s facility, 313 Boundline Road.

The event is hosted by Miss Bristol 2012 Cheyenne O’Donnell, vice president of the
Grange and chairwoman of Crowns Helping Pounds, and Little Miss Milldale 2012 Makendra Mowad. Attendees are asked to bring donations of Milk-Bone biscuits, dog cookies and treats, which will be distributed to pounds in the Wolcott and Waterbury areas.

“The goal during the holidays is to make sure all dogs in pounds get presents,” said Joe
Ouimet, master of the Wolcott Grange.

The bonfire will be used to burn four decades of brush that had accumulated at the Grange before a wave of new members cleaned up the site. Firefighter Jack Kirschbaum, who is treasurer of the Grange, is bringing Wolcott Volunteer Fire Department’s brush-fire truck.

For more information, call or text Ouimet at 203-768-6535.
