| MAY 2, 2012 -- Dennis Putala, Southington Grange president and master gardener intern, will present a seminar on starting a backyard garden and how to create raised beds to benefit the growth of your plants. The presentation is tonight (May 2nd) at the library.
Putala will also answer questions about the Southington Grange’s “Let’s Get Growing!” initiative, which promotes growing, buying and eating locally grown foods.
A selection of seeds will be available to plant and take home. Putala is a native of Southington and the owner of Spruce Hill Nursery.
