| APRIL 1, 2012 -- Break out your sharpest chapeaux for all to see at the first Hats and High Tea event, to be held at the Southington Grange #25 in Southington, Thursday, May 10th from 5:30-7:30 PM.
Mothers, daughters, and grandmothers are encouraged to show and share a memory about their favorite hats, whether precious and vintage or outlandishly contemporary. Barnes Museum curator Marie Secondo will present some of the Barnes family’s favorite, historical hats from a collection of over 200, dating from the 1850s to the 1960s.
Tea, coffee, sandwiches and sweets, will be served. There is a charge to attend. Non-perishable food donations are gladly welcome. Mother’s Day plants will be available for purchase. Reservations are required.
