Ekonk Community Junior Grange March News Update

By Rebecca Gervais

  MARCH 19, 2012 --

The girls presented the Ekonk Community Junior Grange program for February.  They did an outstanding job!  Facts about Valentine’s Day, musical hearts, made Valentine cards, cookies to decorate (yum!), and “conversation” heart baggies for all.  A lot of fun and sugar!

Also, at our February meeting, Ryan Gamarsh joined.  Welcome Ryan!  He brought our count up to 17 for that night.  In addition to the 15 Honoraries and visitors.  What a great bunch of kids!

We voted to purchase a physical and political map that is 10’ X 6’ for Sterling Community School.  It will hang on a wall, for all kids 3-8th to view and use.  It is a dry-erase map and can easily  be updated as needed.

Bowling was scheduled for Feb. 19th.  Will report next month when I know how it went.  We also hope to go to a sugar shack.

We will be selling candy and nuts before Easter. Orders will be due soon after this issue comes out.

In March the boys presented the program, and we planned on scheduling a ping pong competition, Ekonk style, and balloon games for the younger ones.

Feel free to call and find out what we are doing.  Something is always going on on the hill, and friends are ALWAYS welcome!
