No. Stonington Grangers remember Alice Morgan
  JANUARY 25, 2012 --

Alice Brown Morgan, died peacefully on Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at the Apple Rehab in Mystic, Conn., surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted and loving wife of Elbert L. Morgan Sr.

Born in Westerly, R.I., on Feb. 19, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Howard C. Brown and Ruth (Gavitt) Brown.
Mrs. Morgan was the church musician for over 52 years of the Second Baptist Church in North Stonington. She was also a music teacher at her home and the North Stonington Christian Academy for many years. And a long time member of the North Stonington Grange.

Alice was a volunteer at The Westerly Hospital and at local nursing homes doing weekly prayer groups and singalongs.
Besides her husband of over 51 years, she will be sadly missed by her two sons, Elbert L. Morgan Sr. and his wife, Kelly, of North Stonington, and Timothy Morgan and his wife, Marianne, of Pawcatuck. She was the sister of Walter Brown. She was also the loving grandmother of Cammy Morgan and Laina Muroni.

A celebration of Alice's life will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church, Route 49, 12 Stillman Road, North Stonington, Conn. 

Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Stonington Christian Academy, 12 Stillman Road, North Stonington, CT 06359 or Apple Rehab, 28 Broadway Ave., Mystic, CT 06355-2833.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly, R.I.
