| JANUARY 22, 2012 -- The Southington Grange #25 will be represented by various members in their booth at this year's YMCA Healthy Family Fun Fest.
The event, which last year drew 4,000 attendees, is Sunday, March 4th, from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington. The fair will feature various presentations, raffles, demonstrations, health screenings and activities for all ages, from children to senior citizens.
The Grange will be introducing their "Let's Get Growing" program, which promotes buying, growing, and eating locally grown foods as a means to a health diet. Members will hand out seeds for planting, as well as printed materials and membership applications.
Admission to the health fair is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the YMCA, the Hospital of Central Connecticut, and Central Connecticut Senior Health Services. For more information, visit www.healthyfamilyfunfest.com.
