| APRIL 9, 2011 -- Do You Remember... Joe Bell
Which officer in the state line-up in the 1970’s and 80’s most often wore an apron? Who sweated the most over a hot fire? Whose project earned the most? You guessed it --- Joe Bell and the chicken barbecues! Those chicken barbecues were famous throughout the state – served as great fundraisers by Mildred and Joe and had excellent cooperation.
Joe - always a happy smile, a firm handshake, joke (some good, some bad) a guitar which appeared on many Grange programs around the state. Joe was a friend to many –
Unfortunately, Joe struggled with poor health, but he was a fighter with a smile. Joe and Mildred did much for the Grange on all levels.
Do remember them.
