Around The Grange
Winchester Grange Winter Musings

By Todd Gelineau, Winchester Grange President

  FEBRUARY 8, 2011 --

Fortunately the snow held off long enough for Winchester Grange's first meeting in January to be held.  Less than two hours after the gavel fell the first flakes of over a foot fell and it seems to have continued ever since!  We were not as lucky for the second meeting in January.  The snowbanks around the Center are enormous, leaving very little room for parking. It was decided to cancel that meeting as more snow was on the way that night.  Hopefully we’ll have better luck in February.

Please note that the date of first meeting of March is incorrect in the Pomona handbook.  It should be March 8th (not March 6th)-- it will also be a potluck supper.  The time is listed for 6:30 but we are planning to begin the meal at 6:00 to give the kitchen more time to clean-up prior to the meeting.

Guests are always welcome at Winchester Grange.  If you would like to get updates about our meetings and activities please "Like" our page on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.  We also have one of the first websites available through the Connecticut State Grange website program. Visit us at www.WinchesterGrange.org.
