This year, at the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) convention, Hamburg Fair (Lyme Grange No. 147) received first, two thirds, and one fourth in six categories entered in Division I contests. 

Division I is for fairs of up to 100,000 in attendance.  Hamburg’s average attendance is 15,000 and puts the fair at the bottom.  We won Category 8B, Consumer Protection Program.  We received third in Category 8A, Green Program, and a third in Category 8, Advertising Specialties/Merchandise/ Souvenirs.  We also received fourth in Category 4 for posters. 

These are very special honors as each category received at least 1,000 entries.  We were the only fair in the state to get any awards and this was the first year for Hamburg to enter.
