| AUGUST 25, 2010 -- Aug. 28 is the date for the annual Litchfield Grange Fair to be held at the Grange Hall, 435 Bantam Road, in Litchfield.
The hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fair features displays of vegetables, fruits, flowers, baked goods, crafts and needle work.
There will also be a bake sale, a craft table and bric-a-brac sale, and refreshments will be available. A raffle is being held which features a quilt, gas cards, and various other times to be drawn at 2 p.m. on the day of the fair.
Prizes are awarded for entries for these areas featured in the fair, as well as prizes for best of show in most categories.
The fair is open to anyone, free of charge, and applications to enter the fair are available by calling 860-489-4396.
