Robert S. Waugh, 69, of Lakeside, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010. He was the husband of the late Rita (Tanuis) Waugh.

Bob was born in Torrington on Dec. 7, 1940, son of the late Herbert T. and Gertrude (Scherier) Waugh. He retired from the CT DMV and was a member of CHAS (Connecticut Historical Automobile Society) and a founding member of the Crankin Yanks. He had also been the former constable of Morris and past patron of the Morris and Litchfield Granges.

Bob is survived by his brother, Thomas S. Waugh and his wife, Betty, of Lakeside, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Ann Waugh.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 17, at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, June 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
