In Memoriam
Winchester Grange remembers Louise Eisenlohr

By Winsted Journal (3/29/07)

  MARCH 29, 2007 --

Louise "Dolly" Eisenlohr, 91, of Laurel Way, died March 28, 2007, at Laurel Hill Health Care Center following a lenghty illness. She was the wife of Edwin C. Eisenlohr, who died in 1992.

Born in Winsted on June 12, 1915, daughter of Ida (Beauchamp) and Timothy Hart, she had lived here all of her life. Prior to her retirement, she had worked for the Hudson Wire Co. for 33 years.

She was a longtime active member of Winchester Grange and Green Woods Country Club, where she was club champion in the mid '70s. She loved golfing and played right up until her last illness. She also enjoyed gardening and duck pin bowling.

Her survivors include her daughter, Katherine Placo of Winsted and her husband, Wally; and a grandson, Michaek Placo, also of Winsted.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Winchester Center Cemetery in the spring. Maloney Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Winchester Center Fire Dept. or to Winchester Grange #74.
