From The Lecturer's Desk
Do you remember?

"What the Grange Means to Me"
By Barbara Kulisch, Old Lyme Grange #162

The Grange is one great fraternity of family and friends. It has been a teaching tool, starting in the Juvenile Grange, which gave me my foundation of Ritualism; how to be free to speak out in the Public and to continue to help others within my community to better themselves.

It has been a privilege to be a part of this great organization where I met and married my husband and we have been a part of the Grange family ever since. I will always cherish the everlasting friendships I have made throughout my 48 years in the Grange.

As we celebrate our 125th year, how many of the first 25 Granges in Connecticut can you remember? They were as follows...

Stafford #1
Windsor #2
Lanesville #3
Hawleyville #4
Granby #5
Danbury #6
Roxbury #7
Sherman #8
Hartland #9
West Suffield #10
Washington #11
East Granby #12
Tunxis #13
Bloomfield #14
Redding #15
Colebrook #16
Kent #17
Simsbury #18
Housatonic #19
Hope #20
Lebanon #21
Advance #22
Cheshire #23
Berlin #24
Union #25

We are starting a new calendar year. Let's make it one of the best. Happy New Year to Everyone. See you around the State.
