| SEPTEMBER 18, 2009 -- On Aug. 24, Putnam Mayor Robert G. Viens was awarded the Citizen of the Year Award by Putnam Grange #97.
"For me it's very humbling to get chosen for an award such as this," said the mayor earlier this month. He also said that he was honored to be able to take care of the people of Putnam, "from our kids to our seniors," and was pleased to be recognized for his efforts on their behalf and for his work on the very successful farmer's market. |
