Dec News from Harmony Grange No. 92

  DECEMBER 3, 2025 --

Dec. 6: Cook and Serve Dinner for Spooner House residents

Dec. 14: Deb Heim will present a Victorian Christmas

Dec. 19: Monthly meeting will be a Christmas Party for members and guests

Resilience: The Festival of Trees event is sadly not happening this year. We discovered vendors need a lot of notice! Instead, we are all very excited to invite the vendors to our Spring Fair May 2. We will still have our plant sale but everything will happen at the Monroe Green. Stay tuned for more details.

Food Security: The Community Service Committee has big plans for the holiday season. We’ve reached out to the Monroe Foodbank who would like donations for the holidays. After delivering donations for Thanksgiving dinners, we will continue collecting to help our neighbors with Christmas dinners also. Shelton Spooner House will let us cook and serve dinner for residents on Dec. 6.

Self-Sustainability: The day before the Ag Fair our Grange’s water well quit. After late evening calls to the First Selectman, the Health Department, and GI John, we installed a porta potty and were able to continue with a wonderful Ag Fair. Finding new members is self-sustainability for a Grange. We have added three wonderfully active new members: Aimee Smith, Claudio Murolo, and Michael Murray.
