| DECEMBER 25, 2025 -- Jan. 9: It’s a Surprise
Jan. 23: Snow Date for January (otherwise no meeting)
At our one November meeting we learned about Thanksgiving and we took a quiz to see how much we really knew about it. One thing we learned was that, sadly, they had no mashed potato’s at that first meal because potatoes came to America much later than the Pilgrims did.
We had a very successful breakfast on November 8th to raise funds for our Wreaths Across America project. Veterans who attended the meal received a free breakfast and a goodie bag. This year, on December 13th, we will place approximately 190 wreaths on Veterans’ graves in three cemeteries in town.
We have purchased food for Thanksgiving Baskets for fifteen needy families and gift cards to help many children in town have a happier Christmas.
To those of you who have been so prompt in sending in your dues, we give many thanks. To those of you who may have forgotten, Santa is watching! And, if Old Man Winter will just save all his snow for Christmas Eve, next time we will tell you all about delightful December.
