Rescheduled from April 20th -- The meeting is the kick-off of the 2012 State Grange Agricultural Committee program to grow spaghetti squash to be donated to the Connecticut Food Bank and local soup kitchens. The Grange, for the 2nd year in a row, will be partnering with the Ellis Clark Vo-Ag teacher Sarah LaRose and her students at Nonewaug High School in this project. We also wish to involve as many local citizens and Granges who want become involved in growing as much food as possible to help feed our less fortunate Americans who utilize local food banks and soup kitchens. Seeds and planting materials will be provided to attendees who wish to be a part of our program. |
