| MAY 5, 2025 -- Easter activities were hoppin’ at Wallingford Grange this past month. First, many thanks goes out to Molly, an animal sciences student in Lyman Hall High School’s vo-ag program, and her advisor for helping some young, potential rabbit owners understand how to care for their bunnies, and to the rabbit Paws for being such a good ambassador of the species.
Second, we had about a dozen kids attend our first Easter Egg hunt at the grange hall. They had lots of fun finding the eggs throughout it.
Finally, at our April grange meeting, we celebrated the coming of spring with a seed and plant swap. Our next grange meeting will be on Thursday, May 8, at 6:30pm.
In May to July, some special events Wallingford Grange is looking forward to hosting include the Wallingford Town Wide Pizza Battle that will feature 8 local pizzerias (May 3rd: 11am- 1pm), Wallingford Grange 140th Anniversary Celebration (May 17th: 2pm-4pm), Town Wide Tag Sale at Wallingford Grange with Pancake Breakfast and Meatball Sandwich Luncheon (May 31st: 7:30am-2pm), Meatball Sandwich Luncheon (June 14th: 12pm-2pm), Youth Owl Pellet Dissection (June 14th: 12pm-2pm), Pancake Breakfast and Sun prints Youth Activity (July 12th: 8:30am- 11am), and Harvesting Honeys and Tastings (July 15th: 6pm-8pm).
