Simsbury Grange is currently matching farmers and apprentices for the 2021 growing season and providing free seeds to the community. In order for this program to continue, funding must be secured. An online fund drive and matching grant campaign has been set-up on Patronicity.com.

Funds raised from this campaign will support partnerships between apprentices and farmers. Sustainable CT has generously agreed to match every dollar donated up to $5,000! 

Each apprentice receives a stipend and each farmer receives a small honorarium to acknowledge their expertise and training. Free seed give-away events will be opportunities to learn more and apply (virtual/electronic applications also an option).

You can help by supporting this campaign or applying to be an apprentice. We are also seeking volunteers to help pack seeds and help with our "Read and Seed" kiosk with free books and free seeds.
