By Joanne Cipriano

  JUNE 5, 2015 --

April was be a busy month for the members of Beacon Valley Grange.   On Saturday April 18th we hosted a Degree Day put on by the members of Excelsior Pomona with help from Central and Fairfield County Pomonas Six candidates took the Degrees.  Special thanks to Barbara Robert who prepared the meal served between the Second and Third Degrees. It was delicious. Also to everyone who helped in any way.  Everyone did a good job  headed by Robert Buck Master of the First, Second and Third Degrees and Robert Sendewicz Master of the Fourth Degree.

On Saturday April 25th, we had an Open Mic program.  This was in charge of Ron Fischer.  The music was great.

On Saturday May 2nd we had a tag sale.  We didn’t get rich but we did make a profit.  Thanks to everyone who helped.  We are planning another one.

Our next meeting is June 12th.  The program is titled “Father Knows Best”.  It will also be Election of Officers.  Cindy and Ray Legg will have charge of refreshments.  On Friday June 26th we will have our officer’s planning meeting.

As we took first place in the A Number at Pomona we will be performing again at Grange Sunday on June 14th.  Taking part was: Ron Fischer, Cindy Legg, Bryan Kaplan, Diane and Victor Godin and Joanne Cipriano.
