| OCTOBER 7, 2011 -- Foliage season begins in mid-to-late September and extends through mid-to-late October. Peak color is estimated to be between October 11 and November 13. However, depending on the weather in the coming weeks, the peak date may be adjusted a few days earlier or later as the season progresses. Beginning in mid September, state foresters report the levels of color spread from across the state. These reports are updated as information becomes available.
